Ever since I was young, I’ve had a deep obsession with stories. It’s no surprise that as I got older, I gravitated toward two very specific fields: journalism and the arts (music and theater). I am a strong believer in the idea that these two disciplines share a common core: storytelling. They both bring aspects of the human experience to an audience. I think journalism and the arts are also connected in how essential they are to a healthy society. Like nothing else, stories open people to each other, and that kind of openness has the power to heal and sustain communities.
I consider myself a storyteller and a story-seeker: a person trying his best to walk through the world with an open ear and an open heart.
